Night out for the girls

Posted by Scott at 01:59 PM

While we were running errands yesterday, the girls pointed out to us that they haven't been out with us to a restaurant since the boys were born. It's either been (on rare occasion) all six of us going out, or Michelle and I get a sitter and go out without the kids. So last night we got a sitter for the boys and took the girls out. We went to Pine Street Eatery near downtown Nashua. The girls behaved well and so we told them we would try to do it again sometime soon.

I put up a few pictures, mostly of the boys in their Halloween costumes. Most of the shots were taken by Michelle because I was at work on Halloween day. We hope you enjoy them.

So far, the weekend is business as usual. We went to Mass at 10:30AM and stayed afterwards for breakfast. Michelle and the girls are out grocery shopping this afternoon while the boys nap. I'm retiring the lawn mower for the season and will prep the snowblower. Hopefully I won't need it for a while. Tonight we're expecting John, Mary, and Drew Martinez for dinner.

I took some pictures of all the kids together this morning. They were all dressed up so I thought it might be a good time to get something together for a future Christmas card. We'll see how it goes. If none of the pictures work out, I may need to do a little digital compositing to get a nice print. It's hard to get all four to look in the same direction and smile. Darn near impossible!

There was an interesting article in osOpinion about Mac OS X being about the only viable alternative to Microsoft's Windows XP by offering the stability of Unix (which turned 30 years old yesterday!), ease of use, and the mainstream desktop apps that people are looking for. It's a good quick read.
