Short and fast updates

I'm pretty tired but a few updates.

At work I've made great progress with an engineer who has flown in from Israel so that we could work together to debug his hardware/software. It seems like in the past couple of days we've gotten all the major bugs worked out. This could bring closure to a system that I've been helping with for over a year.

I spoke with Claire's teacher tonight. While Claire does have some of the same issues I had back in first grade, the teacher and her assistant both feel that academically Claire is ready for second grade.

I spoke with my mortgage agent as well tonight. It seems like all the financing has been setup and I got an estimate on funds needed for closing in the middle of next month. It looks like we'll likely refinance the home shortly after we move in. If I leave the payments alone, we'll have the house paid off in about seven years but with killer payments. If I do a one time re-amortization of the home, the house will be paid off in 30 years (when I retire...) with tiny payments. Refinancing for 15 years may be the best "this porridge is just right" solution.

I also spoke tonight with our realtor. It looks like our house is officially "sale pending" now. The i's are dotted and t's crossed. All that remains is an inspection.

That's about all. Lots of phone calls. All good news. Thank you, God! Stick with me! The boys woke up early this morning so now I'm going to try to catch up on some missed sleep.
