Christmas Cards

Posted by Scott at 10:05 PM

We spent the night preparing Christmas cards. "Labels and pictures and stamps.. oh my! Labels and pictures and stamps.. oh my!" In a small way it reminded me of the fun I get (many times per week) of folding the whites. Imagine folding socks for a family of six. I think they use sock matching in China for making prisoners of war talk.

Abby woke up several times last night telling us how she couldn't sleep. "Mom, it's not six o'clock yet. It's taking too long... " Thanks for letting us in on your fun, Abby. We're hoping tonight she can sleep through the night. (fingers crossed...).

Michelle taught another step class at the Y. She says she's only got three classes left to teach, but "who's counting".

We're going to be looking into letting Claire take the school bus home. It drives by the house right after Michelle picks up Claire. Michelle figures that if the bus is going to practically follow her home, why not have Claire just take the bus.

Claire should definitely take the bus! Why isn't she already? I would love if my kids had a bus, but they don't. We got to take a bus to Andrew's field trip yesterday and he was so excited!
We have had no luck with a picture yet for our card, but I dropped off more film yesterday. I have, however, addressed about 200 cards of my father-in-law's- he sends them to the whole village- I only have about 200 more, and then I can fold, stuff, seal, and stamp! Jealous?
I hope to wrap you kids' presents soon and get them off. Did the boys' gifts arrive from Kohl's yet?
William is wearing underwear- since Friday now! Yeah! We should have a few months without diapers!
Hope all is well wih you!

As you may have read by now, Claire is now taking the school bus on her way home.

Wow! 400 cards! Do the other Tarpey kids (John Shawn, etc.) have their fair share to do, or did you win some lottery this year? *grin*

We didn't get any box from Kohls yet. I'll let you know when it comes in.

I am jealous that you'll at least have a few months without diapering. In less than three months we'll be triple diapering. I guess once you're double diapering, what's one more?
