Final graduation

Posted by Scott at 11:27 AM

This afternoon my folks drive down to see Suzy and attend her graduation tomorrow. 14 years ago they got to watch their first (me) graduate. Tomorrow they get to see their last one finish up. I'm sure it'll be a bit emotional.

Congratulations Suzanne! Consider this a big e-hug from the other side of the U.S. I expect you to keep weblogging while you're in graduate school.

I wish I could be at Suzy's graduation! TJ and Cassidy are there to represent me. Unfortunately, it is pouring rain here, and I hope it is a little better in central Illinois. Remeber the pictures from her pre-k grad. where her hat kept falling in her eyes? Hopefully she won't have that problem today!
Also, I just got an e-mail from Becky that she is getting married in 2 weeks. I'm happy for her! I don't write to her ofter, but I let her know about Kyle, and she just wrote back about her wedding.
Kyle, by the way, is doing very well. He has been sleeping great the past 3 nights, but I'm sure that it is just a phase. I am sore in all the places a new mother would be, but otherwise we are all doing well.
Hope you have a great weekend!

I WAS AT HER GRADUATION AND IT WAS VERY NICE. I AM SURE DAD WAS VERY PROUD THAT ALL OF HIS KIDS FINISHED COLLEGE. FRIDAY NIGHT ROB TARPEY AND MY SELF DROVE DOWN THERE. WE WENT TO DINER WITH THE WHOLE GROUP AND THEN WENT OUT TO A BAR IN THE AREA. IT WAS PRETTY FUN, I HAVEN'T BEEN TO A BAR LIKE THAT IN A WHILE.

Like Alyssa I also wish I could have seen it. Best of luck in grad school.

Have you told Grandpa Bilik that you're going to grad school yet? He used to have the impression that anyone who went to college beyond their B.A./B.S. degree was a "perpetual student". In his day a bachelor's degree was all anyone would need unless they were becoming a physician.

Becky is getting married?! Is she still living out this way? I'm happy for her.

Lyss, hope you feel better soon. I hope it's nothing serious.
