Done!

Posted by Scott at 02:32 PM

I just wanted to put up a little entry. I finished my finals yesterday. I thik I did fine. I am not really worried. I calculated my grades and I could score a 50% on both finals and still get a B in each course. I highly doubt I did that bad! So, I am a free woman! Well, sort of. Now my efforts will be put toward cleaning and packing up my apartment. The cool thing is that now I get to say I am a "second year student" and I also can say "I graduate in a year". Wow.

I have to go to a local furniture warehouse tomorrow to try to find a cheep bed for my new place. I probably will also check it out for some other cheap furniture. In the paper today, the warehouse was advertising beds for $40! Mom said to check for cheap bedroom sets, too, since thats really all I need. Then Mom and Dad will be down here on Friday to help me move.

Seth got a curve ball thrown at him. His teacher signed him up to walk in the ceremony without his knowing. How nice. There are no hotels available in the city of Bloomington at this point, hence, no one can come down for it! Luckily, his parents did find a hotel in the town of Morton. I will be able to attend, as well. However, because there was such late notice, Seth almost was going to be alone at his graduation. I don't know how he is not as upset with his teacher as I am.

I will be home on Saturday evening. Many of my friends are getting together and going downtown to celebrate Seth's and Laurna's graduation, as well as cousin Kristy Olsen's birthday. Sunday is Mother's Day so I will be heading back downtown to go to church with Mom. On Monday, Mom, Dad, Chris, Seth, and I are hoping to head out to the Indiana Dunes for the day. Tuesday I am getting a haircut and possibly going to a Cub's game with some friends. I am sure the plans will keep filling up! That's it for now!

Congratulations. One down, one to go.

Regarding Seth, I'm a bit confused. Was he going to skip any formal graduation ceremony and just have his master's degree mailed to him? Granted, that's what I did, but I just was trying to understand the issue.

I knew about the big move at the end of this week because I tried to fly mom out here for a few days around this same time. We're taking Timbo on a day trip to see the surgeons who will repair his ear in a few years. We were hoping she could house sit the rest of the family while we're gone.

Seems like just yesterday that Michelle and I were just moving into base housing and looking for an inexpensive bedroom set, couches, and TV. Good luck finding something.
