It's a weblog about nothing...

Posted by Scott at 10:50 PM

If you watched any Seinfeld, you know that the running joke was that "it's a show about nothing". That's the way the past week has felt. I haven't written because it's been an 'autopilot' week. The boys are still in toilet training. Daniel is sometimes too eager (he must have gone 10 times in the last 2 hours tonight!) and Michael is in denial. I can't talk about work -- at least for a little while longer. I haven't taken many pictures. The only purchases I made have been a couple of geek books about CSS.

As you can see below, I've added Claire as an author so that she could work on her writing skills. She does well for a girl finishing second grade, but don't expect long tomes from her. I'm just glad to have her sit down and write. She thought it was "cool" how what she wrote in the iMac's TextEdit was quickly transformed into being online.

Abigail is still a Zoombini addict. This past week I ordered the only one in the series that she hasn't played yet: Zoombini Island Odyssey.

I took Claire last night to see "Anne of Green Gables" at the Milford Town Hall. Rather, I took her to see the first half. By the time we finished intermission, it was late enough that she was willing to skip the second half and get some sleep. Perhaps we'll rent it so that we can see the whole story without the semi-stilted high school acting. (uh, what's my line again???)

Today I finished DVD #3 of "The Darling Buds of May" (a 5 disc series). I'm still enjoying it quite a bit and am thankful for the recommendation. It's warm and the humor is subtle and tends to be situational. For instance, in the episode I saw this afternoon, Pop's house is being held hostage by some thugs who are looking for some loot that is hidden on the property. Who ends up scaring the thugs away but a large group of peace protesters that Pop rounded up when he snuck out for help. This afternoon Claire finished DVD #2 of "Little House" (6 disk series). Lastly, tonight Michelle and I watched the season finale of "Smallville". I have to give the writers credit: the last several season finales have been real cliffhangers. Smallville has been one of my guilty pleasures.

That's about it. Hey, if Suzy posts tomorrow, we can get all three little photo thumbnails on the front page at once! A little variety from the usual blatherings of just me...
