Abigail turns 9

I was surfing the Chicago Sun Times online today to read an excellent op-ed by Mark Steyn about the VA Tech massacre. Although Steyn's articles are published in the Chicago Sun Times, he hails from northern New Hampshire. Small world.

As I looked near the top of the page I loved how they summarized Chicago area weather: "BLAH". I can relate! After being gorgeous yesterday when I was in the office, today definitely ranked as "blah". Cloudy, chilly, with drizzle. I felt bad for the kids who would be forced to celebrate Abby's birthday completely indoors. I also felt bad for the guys who assembled our shed in the damp, dreary conditions.

Nevertheless I took Abigail and three of her friends to see Meet the Robinsons at Chunky's Cinema Pub in Nashua. While Abby and I had already seen it, it was the most kid friendly movie showing and good enough to see a second time. As is common in seeing a film a second time, I picked up on things I hadn't noticed the first time around. When we got home, Abby opened presents and shared in cake and ice cream.

Click to see the albumLater in the evening Michelle the kids and I watched Night at the Museum. While I'm not usually the biggest Ben Stiller fan, I enjoyed this film. I think it helped that he had some other pretty big names supporting the film: Mickey Rooney, Dick Van Dyke, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams.

While watching the film I worked on a photo album with pictures from Easter and Abby's birthday. Oh, and a quick picture of our new shed! Here's hoping towards regaining some garage space.

Chrissy's neighbor's son, Thomas Lennon, from Reno 911, worked on that movie- I think he wrote it. TJ is a Reno fan so whenever we go to Chrissy's we are always scoping out the neighbor's house in case Thomas is there, he never is, but we did get autographed poctures!
Loved Abby's pictures! Can you believe it- 9 years old?!?!
