Smooth commute home. Listened to more of Scott Hahn's latest book ... about 2/3's through it, but it's a short read. 06:05pm

The twins are perplexed by another anomaly of English: the silent 'g's in *ight words. fight, height, right, etc. 06:06pm

Even though there's still snow in southern NH, Haywards Ice Cream stand recently re-opened for the season so we made our 1st trip this year. 07:06pm

Got word tonight that after years of prep, Daniel's godfather will be defending his PhD dissertation in just a couple more weeks. 08:47pm

Hey-
I've been teaching silent gh this week- then to make English even weirder, there's gh that say f, as in laugh! My favorite quote is "English is weird." It's a fact my ESL learners are accepting (only 4 out of 20 of my students speak only English at home).
