Possible Government Shutdown?

New Englanders rejoice. Sunshine and temps in the 50's and 60's over the next few days. Maybe we can see some greening and signs of life? 6:10am

Dropped the girls off at their schools. Smooth drive into Boxborough listening to This Week in Google #89 along the way. It really is not so much about Google as it is often topics of open source, interoperability, cloud computing, etc. Happy to have only 44 Unreads in my Inbox this morning. Maybe soon I can get some real work done... 8:43am

I always find it amusing that when I'm at work, Twitter thinks I'm in Raleigh, North Carolina. I wish! We could use a bit o' that warmth. 9:51am

Considering that we've been on government continuing resolutions since last October, when Democrats had overwhelming majorities in both houses, if the government does "shut down", I place the blame squarely on their shoulders. Reid says government can't be reduced by .005%, and he's ready to shut it down for 10% of the year or more to prove it. Give me a break. 10:20am

I understand that Good Friday and Earth Day fall on the same day this year. I might be watching "The Passion of the Christ" on DVD that day, but I won't be watching "An Inconvenient Truth." And when Jesus later rose from the dead, was that considered recycling or did it increase his carbon footprint?? 10:58am

Nexus S 4GDecided to take a peek at Sprint's web site to see what they were saying about their upcoming Nexus S 4G. It really doesn't look all that different from last year's "look at us" phone. Aside from Near Field Communications and Android 2.3 (aka 'Gingerbread'), it's not all that different from the EVO 4G they promoted last year. I'm assuming Sprint will be releasing Gingerbread on the EVO soon anyway. If not, I'll root it onto the phone. 11:15am

Phew! Left work around 5:30 and head north. Caught up with my dad to check on how mom's chemo treatment went today. Listened to a bit of TWiT #295 the rest of the way. Went straight to Golds for the Muscle Mix class. Now to have a bite of dinner and tuck the boys in. 8:10pm
