RCIA Team Dinner

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools.Abby has a field day at Keyes Field today. It's a gorgeous day for it with sunshine and mid-80's outside. I listened to a bit of a tech podcast for the first half of my drive and caught up with my mom and dad the rest of the commute in. It's been a busy morning and is now time to get back to debug... 10:25am

Apple to 'ban iPhone gig filming'?? - via The Sun. This still sounds a bit rumor'ish to me, extrapolating from patent filings. 10:35am

Now that Rep. Weiner is resigning, will he become just another DC insider or will he find work in the private sextor?? [[ba-dum-bum]] 11:10am

At Qualcomm, Rise of Founder’s Son Defies Hazards of Succession - via the NYTimes 3:31pm

Since I thought I was going to be doing some tests with 1 bit / pixel images today, I had a fascinating mental detour today into dithering. This was especially important in the early Macintosh days when that was all you had. Not to mention the old Hercules cards for early IBM PCs (now I'm really dating myself...) Now that we live in an era of photo-realistic "retinal displays" and such, it's nostalgic to think back to those times when we didn't have that much memory for such detail. 3:44pm

Via NolteNC: I don't want to say the economy's getting worse, but I just passed a highway overpass where a bunch of ATMS are living in tents. 3:49pm

Today is Tux Paint Day. Tux Paint is one of Timothy's favorites. Windows/OSX/Linux? Yes! 3:51pm

Had a 5 o'clock conference call with San Diego. Left work a little after 6 to head up to The Mile Away where Michelle and I joined our pastor and the rest of the RCIA team for an awesome dinner. 10:07pm
