I listened to a bit of a tech podcast for the first half of my drive and caught up with my mom and dad the rest of the commute in. It's been a busy morning and is now time to get back to debug...

Since I thought I was going to be doing some tests with 1 bit / pixel images today, I had a fascinating mental detour today into dithering. This was especially important in the early Macintosh days when that was all you had. Not to mention the old Hercules cards for early IBM PCs (now I'm really dating myself...) Now that we live in an era of photo-realistic "retinal displays" and such, it's nostalgic to think back to those times when we didn't have that much memory for such detail.
