Timothy Serves His 1st Mass
Good morning! We're back from Mass at St. Patricks and breakfast at DFE. Today was Timothy's 1st time altar serving. Claire was his mentor and he did a good job listening to her. After breakfast we dropped Claire off at Subway for the day shift.
Shortly after getting back home, I had to go back to the parish for instruction on being a lector. I didn't mention to the leader that I had been one for ~25 years, up until we registered at St. Patricks. I just wanted to learn what was unique about our parish and pastor's preferences.
Finished reading “In the Beginning was The Command Line”. Soon it'll be time to mow the lawn. It's having trouble drying out because of how wet and humid its been lately..
Phew! All done with the yard work for another week or two. All showered up and enjoying my DD iced coffee. Claire is back from her day at Subway. I'm researching how a Mac might boot an OS from a Flash Drive. I'd like to see if I could put an entire Linux distribution on a thumb drive and get a Mac to use it like PC's can.
Michelle made burgers and sausages on the grill. Abby is having one of her good friends sleep over tonight. Tomorrow is off for a teacher training day and I'm taking a vacation day.
With my boys having treats at McD's. Michelle and the girls are shopping at Kohl's.
Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. We were going to watch the new Doctor Who episode, but they first wanted to see the new Disney episode of Shake It Up that aired tonight. The girls are on their way back from clothes shopping. Claire found a nice dress for homecoming next month and Abby found some skinny jeans that won't give her SPS. ;-] Good night all!
