Liquid demo'd

Woke up a bit early and couldn't fall back to sleep. Watched another episode of Once Upon a Time: Skin Deep. 6:54am

Good morning! Aside from getting the weekly trash to the curb, it was a lazier morning. The girls are all sleeping in. Michelle made me some eggs and toast before I head out. I'd burned an MP3 CD with Lord of the Rings:Fellowship of the Ring (hereafter referred to as 'LotR') for my upcoming work commutes. Michelle has her morning Step class to teach at the Merrimack YMCA. The girls will stay home but the boys will go with her and workout in the new kids workout area. 9:19am

Best mashup buzzword heard on my morning podcast: “scampaign” «chuckle» [Hat tip: No Agenda podcast] 10:10am

8064 Liquid When I was last in San Diego earlier this month, it was to prep this bad boy for The Big Show (ie. Mobile World Congress). Four 1.5GHz Qualcomm "Krait" ARM cores and our new Adreno 320 GPU in a reference design tablet (we call it a ‘Liquid’) to show to folks like Samsung, LG, HTC, etc. 1:47pm

This month marks six years that I've been working on Adreno 2xx, 3xx, & 4xx GPU hardware design and verification, either at ATI, AMD, or Qualcomm. 1:52pm

I was unaware that the famous hacker group "Anonymous" had attempted a large scale attack against the Vatican's web sites last August. (related link) It didn't succeed, but they certainly tried. I'm guessing it was because the Vatican's web site is primarily static HTML, much like this one. There was no PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, or SQL to attack. Those are the usual vectors for taking down websites. 2:10pm

Just bought a copy of Youcat for my girls. Hope @AmericanPapist Tom Peters enjoys the referrer commission. ;-] 2:20pm

Had an interesting day debugging. A color value computed by the shader somehow isn't getting exported properly to the render backend. I'll figure it out more tomorrow. I left a bit early and listened to more of LotR on the drive north. 7:38pm

I caught Lori's "triple play" at Golds Gym tonight: a strength class, a Step class, and a Pilates class. I am exhausted in a good way. When I got home Michelle and the kids were watching the most recent episode of Once Upon A Time: What Happened to Frederick. 7:39pm

As I got up to my room to put away my things I saw that my DVDs from Fr. Barron's Catholicism, ordered last week on eBay, had arrived. I'm eager to get to them, but might be a bit to wiped out to start tonight. 7:41pm

Took a nap after dinner. Michelle put the boys to bed. Claire finished up late tonight at 10 o'clock. She and the manager were putting in a little extra effort because the inspector comes tomorrow. I need my sleep. Good night all! 7:41pm

what you did not do for one of these least ones,
you did not do for me.’ ”
