Workin' for the Weekend

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Aside from Michelle the house is still quiet. It's hard to go to work on a day like today, sunny and expected to hit 88°F, but alas it's time to go. It's funny how temporarily losing even one child can make the house seem a bit emptier. 6:43am

Smooth commute in, listening to yesterday's first hour of Patrick Madrid 's Open Line via podcast. Always recommended! The parking lot looks pretty empty. I suspect a lot of employees are extending the 4th of July holiday. 8:54am

To quote Bill Engvall, “Here's your sign!” See snapshot at left. On the other hand some days I find myself so absent minded, it wouldn't surprise me to do something like that. 9:30am

Via linorulli: “I've got two women working on different parts of my body. Good thing I'm at physical therapy or I'd be in the confessional afterwards.” 10:04am

Went with a good friend from AMD to have lunch at Il Fornos. That place had me stuffed. Today's special included two chicken parm filets over cheese ravioli. Pretty sure I'll be skipping dinner tonight. 1:07pm

Professor Higgs “has admitted he has 'no idea' what practical applications it [the newly discovered Higgs Boson particle] could have.” (related story) 1:23pm

In March there was the woman who married herself. Now we have the woman who marries a building and later a neighborhood? And California trying to legalize more than two parents. Where does it end? 1:25pm

Michelle took the boys to the pool. Claire had a shift at Subway from 10 to 3. 3:10pm

Thus wraps up another work week. It's 80°F & clear back home in Milford. Time to head home and enjoy some of it with the family. 6:18pm

Thumbnail of Haywards Ice CreamLeft work around 6:30pm. Smooth commute home, listening to EWTN over 3G along the way. I wish I knew why sometimes my phone can hold the signal the whole way, and other times not. Now we're about to take the kids to Haywards for ice cream. I still have no desire for dinner! 7:49pm

“The Pharisees saw this and said to his disciples,
‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’
He heard this and said,
"‘Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.’ ”
Matthew 9
