Heat Wave Gone

Posted by Scott at 10:28 PM

Good morning! This will probably the last update for a week or two. I'm working from home today. Its about 70°F and sunny. Compared to yesterday when it was already 88°F by this hour!?! 8:00am

I took the 9:15 Step and Abs class at Golds Gym. It was nice to step out of the gym and not feel like you're going to start sweating all over again. While I was out Timothy had his piano lesson and Michelle dropped Claire off at work. 10:30am

I brought Michelle and the boys to lunch downtown at Cafe on the Oval. Stopped by DFE on the way home to pick up a pair of iced coffees. Mostly sunny and 80°F now. We went from solid A/C for the past few days to opening the windows and letting the ceiling fans run. 1:15pm

So this morning I peeked online at entry level DLSRs from Nikon. Whenever a big vacation approaches, I always get tempted to get a "better camera" to capture the vacation. As if it's just the camera holding me back?!? So now my internet banner ads are a mix of VW's and Nikon D3200 cameras. At least the ads for TiVo Premiere hi-def DVRs have died down. Considering I bought those last November (under duress), it's about time! 1:44pm

I had a solid afternoon of debug and get all of my work submitted. Finally wrapped up work for the week. Hours logged. Weekly status written. Time to stress about completely different things. ;-) 6:32pm

Tim watched me as I went through a series of steps that reminded me of Windows. I had to uninstall my tethering drivers, reboot my Mac, install the new drivers, reboot my Mac, and finally test out 3G tethering. All set there now. Certainly not as fast as cable broadband, but much better than dialup internet! 8:46pm

After getting the boys tucked in bed with their prayers, I did some "house cleaning" of my Kindle, freeing up some space and transferring a movie. Good night all! 9:51pm

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
