Tarpeys arrive

Posted by Scott at 09:42 PM

Another warm sunny day! Am I in Nashua or San Diego?! I gave both vehicles some much needed spring cleaning. You don't want to know the kinds of things you find cleaning a minivan when there are small children as regular passengers. There was enough Kix and Cheerios to choke your average car wash vacuum. Just kidding there. It did give me a chance to learn how to remove the second tier of seats in the van. Claire was impressed when all the back seats were out or folded down. She and I cleaned the van before Mass. After Mass and after Michelle got the boys down for their second nap, Claire and I went to clean the car. As a father-daughter treat, I took her to lunch at Ruby Tuesday's, just her and I. When we got home Claire spent much of her time playing with the girls that live a couple of houses down. Even though those girls are roughly ten years old, they love having Claire over. They had just bought a Slip'n'Slide to enjoy the summer-like weather we had this weekend. Claire suited up and spent a few hours sliding away.

Later Alyssa called saying that the family arrived at the hotel. The trip was relatively incident free except that William threw up a couple of times today. Right now as I write this there are some things in our washer and dryer getting cleaned up from that incident. Their family came over a little before 7 PM and the girls were very excited. They got to spend about half an hour before the boys had to go to bed. I'll be going into work tomorrow but plan on taking two days off this week so that we can all go to the coast or an amusement park or... who knows?

I'm not going to make it much longer so I'd better end this now. I'll keep you up to date on the Tarpey visit as it progresses.
