Idle week

Posted by Scott at 06:41 AM

There hasn't been a lot going on at our house this week. Michelle and the kids are getting a little bit frustrated by the lack of a TiVo. On the other hand the kids have been enjoying the trampoline. If nothing else, not having decent television has incentivized me to do some website programming. That is why the long lists that used to be on the sidebar are now pull down menus at the top. Thanks to Michelle for the idea. I also have whipped together some quick and dirty code to extract weather for our towns from Weather Underground. Currently it gets auto updated once a day a 1AM (EST) but I think I'm going to change that schedule. If you click on the town name, it links you to the detailed forecast for your town at Weather Underground.

Today is going to be a different day at work. ARC's Nashua office is moving next door -- from 402 Amherst St to 400 Amherst St. So instead of the usual technical nature of my job, today will involve a lot of boxing up of my office cubicle. There's been some talk amongst the staff of going to see a matinee showing of "The Matrix" once our stuff is packed up. We haven't done something like that in several years, but with the company network down, we aren't going to be very productive if we stay at the office.

Timothy is laying here next to me as I type this. He looks so cute. Michelle recently pulled out the storage box with all the twins' old first year clothes. Man! Timothy has a big selection to choose from since "he's only one man". I had forgotten about all the nice looking outfits that twins had back then.

Michelle and I plan to go out tonight. Maybe we'll see X-Men 2. Maybe. On Saturday I'm taking the girls to see "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" being performed in downtown Nashua by the Peacock Players. On Sunday Infant Jesus is having their annual Parish Day. Luckily the weather forecast is looking good for this weekend.
