Blizzard weekend

Posted by Scott at 09:34 PM

Blizzard - It's been nearly a week since I've written any updates. Unfortunately, I'm feeling pretty tired and want to catch some sleep soon. It's been a snowy and blustery weekend. (see here and here) I'd guess we got a foot and a half of powdery snow -- nothing too unusual for southern NH. Unfortunately it was about 7° with 20-25mph winds (gusting much higher) when I went to clear it in the morning and only hit about 17° by mid-afternoon when I did a little touchup work. Claire was going crazy with boredom of cabin fever. With a little work I got her mind off it and got her laughing. Abby spent the afternoon with a friend down the street.

Birthday - Yesterday was the twins' 4th birthday. Four years ago we went from "man-on-man defense" to "zone defense" with phrases like "check on what the boys are doing down there!" We knew the storm was expected around 5pm so we went for an early dinner at Merrimack's Burger King since the kids enjoy their PlayPlace (and food). Later at home we had a special cake baked by Michelle and the girls that was designed to look like a train. Pictures of the cake (and the party) will be in the next album.

Evenings - Speaking of pictures, with the cold weather it'll be time to work another album in the next few nights. I have about two dozen images sitting in the camera. My nights have been preoccupied with devouring Michael Crichton's book (mentioned last week). I hope to write a bit about the book once I finish it. I only have about 70 pages to go. There are several great themes I wanted to mention.
