Hello, McFly?

Posted by Scott at 08:18 AM

It's been ten days since I've written. It's not lack of interest. I think it's due to the kids being home, not in school, and late sunsets keeping them up a bit longer. In essence by the time they're in bed, I'm too tired. So... what's been going on? How 'bout just the highlights:

Thursday, July 19th
I bought Abby the original Nintendo64 version of Paper Mario, the game that started the series. Since she completed the new Wii version, I thought perhaps she'd like to go a little old school.
Friday, July 20th
Michelle took the kids to Davis Farmland. She carpooled with the Kucmas' and together they all had a great time with awesome weather for it.
Saturday, July 21st
I drove the family to Kimball Farm for the annual company picnic. Much better weather than the rainout conditions of last year's event.
Sunday, July 22nd
Took the kids to the Milford Pool, had an early dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and wrapped up the day with a string of candlepin bowling at the newly (re)opened Tony's Lanes in Milford.
Monday, July 23rd
An airplane landed on I-495 during the evening rush hour. It must have happened around the time I left the office because I was only delayed about 20 minutes. It was weird driving past a plane on the right side shoulder of the highway.
Tuesday, July 24th
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on CD (17 of 'em) arrived by mail. I'm through the first four.
Wednesday, July 25th
Got up early to take the girls to Manchester airport to fly to Chicago. It's been weird not having the girls around. Still managed to get down to Marlborough in time for my morning fitness class.
Friday, July 27th
The girls drove to Michigan to spend some time at my folks new home. Had a nice lunch with coworkers at Lazio in Northborough. I had numerous delays commuting home, despite leaving on the early side. When I got home, we had no power so we took the boys to McD's for a light dinner. Power returned about 5 minutes after putting them to bed.
Saturday, July 28th (ie. today)
We're not certain what kind of day trip we'll take the boys on today. We're thinking perhaps the Boston Museum of Science. I'd love to do one of their IMAX specials.
