Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:44 PM

Yawn! I had the 'you own a British sports car' dream again. This time it was failing brakes. They make my VW look as reliable as a Honda. 06:07am

I'd like to work from home today, but I've two meetings to attend. To quote the Seven Dwarves, "it's off to work I go..." 06:22am

Dropped Claire off & head to work with a minor detour ~1/2 way. I'm thankful that we live in the age of GPS's. Beautiful weather though... 08:58am

Listened to Dennis Prager (related link) and the Daily Breakfast #392 on the drive down. (related link) 09:03am

Hey, I just remembered!! This afternoon marks 13 years since Michelle & I arrived in New Hampshire. Just her, me, and 2 cats. No kids yet... 09:25am

Had a nice lunch at Longhorn. Now listening to WGBH Classical podcasts while regressing a code drop (to help wash out background work noise) 01:47pm

While staring at my monitor, I was thinking back to my ancient TRS-80 Model I, where lower case letters was an after market option. smirk 02:18pm

Back from monthly hardware status mtg. It's always interesting to hear about our developments in game console and desktop graphics chips. 03:58pm

Simulations are still running so I'll let 'em go while I commute home and pick up the results after dinner and the kids go to bed. 05:03pm

I had a smooth commute home for a Friday night! Now I'm going over reading words with Daniel & Michael while snarfing down a quick dinner. 06:33pm

After the boys went to bed, Michelle, the girls, and I watched the first half of 'Spiderman 3' on DVD. Abby's having a sleep over tonight. 10:38pm

After the girls went to bed I did a little cleanup and enhancement of the code that does the nightly archiving of Twitter updates. 10:40pm

I'd also work on a photo album of Halloween pictures but I'll wait 'til tomorrow. We're supposed to have remnants of Hurricane Noel anyway. 10:51pm

It's nice to hear that parents actually do work with their first graders on reading words- sometimes I don't think so!
