Short Updates

Because I need to attend a special welcoming Rite for our RCIA candidates, we'll be doing split shifts for Mass this morning. 05:44am

Skimming through my spam/junk mail folder before emptying it, I'm getting disgusted by how many messages promise to make me "a bigger man". 05:47am

Parents of Disney Channel kids are wondering, "Why did Christopher Robin now reappear on 'My Friends Tigger & Pooh'? Where has he been?!" 06:57am

Got some encouraging news! Friends are donating their excess airmiles to the girls so that they can attend my sister's upcoming wedding. 10:28am

Soon Timothy & I will put a new scraper blade on the snowblower while Michelle takes the girls clothes shopping at Amherst's "Rugged Bear". 10:30am

Our snowblower is ready for New England Nor'easters and Alberta Clippers. That old scraper blade was worn worse than the old augers were. 11:42am

Michelle & the girls are back from shopping. They bought each of the boys a Webkinz Lil' Kinz. (related link) Excitement aplenty! 11:48am

Hood has a holiday baking contest. Last year's winner came from here in lil' old Milford, NH. EggNog & Pecan Torte (related link) 02:20pm

Michelle is running out for coffees and then I'm taking Timothy, Daniel, Claire, and her friend candlepin bowling to get out for a while. 02:30pm

Having dinner with the family at TGIFriday's. . . 05:28pm

Another night with conservation of children: lose one daughter to a sleepover, gain another with a separate sleepover at our house. 07:41pm

Spent some time on United's web site to plan our trip to Tampa. Everything's a 1-stop trip, whether Manchester or even Logan airport. sigh 08:23pm

It's supposed to get down to ~18°F tonight. Have I mentioned how grateful I am for the invention of the electrically heated mattress pad? 09:20pm

Comments

Tampa is only 90 minutes from Orlando.
Southwest has at least two non-stops a day from MHT to MCO.

Hi Mr. Russell,

Yes, I know. The problem is that the tickets have been going up even this far out. The round trips are usually >$500 each.

We looked at United because a friend had airmiles he wanted to donate to the girls so I'd only be buying a ticket for myself. $500 vs >$1500. But certainly for the past two months I've been watching Southwest Airlines.

Thanks for the pointer though. And you need not worry about obscuring your email address. It doesn't end up on the website, just in my email notification in case I want to do a private reply.
