Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:44 PM

Since I got home late last night, Michelle caught me up on "the Hillary interview" I missed on Bill O'Reilly. I'll watch it on TiVo later. 5:58am

Workin' from home today. Hope to take my daughters to Ascension Thursday 7:30am Mass this morning. 6:08am

Saw this local story on the news this morning. (related link) Someone's guardian angel was looking out for them! ;-) 9:09am

Back from taking the girls to Mass & Donut Fresh Express. Had to reward the girls [esp. Abby, who wasn't too enthused to go on a weekday.] 9:10am

Michelle is taking all the kids to visit friends in New Boston. That'll give me several hours of quiet for working up here at the home desk. 9:13am

"Facebook loophole 'open to identity thieves'" (related link) This is why I don't like adding lots of Facebook apps. 9:21am

Argh! I'm in what we call "bit rot" hell. Code that months ago used to compile now doesn't because of changes in tools & infrastructure. 11:55am

Stepped outside for a bit. Our weeping cherry tree has already lost its blossoms but the pear trees are making up for it. 2:14pm

All my worst nightmares about college for my kids in one humor video. (related link) 2:34pm

Found an old system (2 yrs old) which would still compile the old code. This is crazy, but at least I'm running again. 2:36pm

Back from a workout at the Milford Golds Gym. About to eat some re-heated dinner and then get the boys ready for bed. 7:10pm

Purchased a round trip ticket for Claire to visit Tampa, FL for ~10 days shortly after school gets out. 8:26pm

Happy 44th anniversary to BASIC, developed near here at Dartmouth. Like many geeks, it was my first in a long line of computer languages. 8:54pm

While I'm not a Cadillac fan, I do like their new slogan: "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?" Clever play on words. 8:56pm
