Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:44 PM

yawn Another early morning, heading down to Marlborough now... Somebody point me in a southerly direction... 5:44am

No surprise, but roads were clear at this hour. Listened to "Caspian" on the ride, esp. the scene where they almost revive the White Witch. 7:09am

As yesterday, I won't be writing much today. My focus is solely on performance enhancements for OpenGL-ES & Microsoft Direct3D Mobile. 7:14am

A big brownout at the office killed a few things. They've totally cut power to repair them. Out for a long lunch. 11:44am

Back from lunch w/my spiritual director. We have power, A/C for people is back, but not sure about the server room. Servers are still down. 1:33pm

Our compute servers and terminal servers are all finally back online. Almost half a day lost due to the brownout/blackout. 3:13pm

Wrapup to another busy day, trying to compensate for the power outage. Heading back to NH and hoping the heat wave ends tonight as expected. 5:36pm

Temperatures were still in the mid- to high 90's on the commute home. It was interesting to see the effect on MPG of having A/C cranked. 6:56pm

Enjoying watching Presidents rap the Star Spangled Banner. (related link) 8:30pm

If I had $500 burning a hole in my pocket, I'd love to give my dad this "Rolleiflex" camera for Father's Day. (related link) 8:34pm

The leading edge of the storm front is currently over VT and working its way here. Please bring some much needed heat relief! 9:14pm
