Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:44 PM

Stayed up w/Olympics last night and saw women's synchronized diving. I didn't even know that was a sport. Hard to get really excited about. 5:29am

New rumors that AMD may split into two companies, but not a CPU company and a GPU company. (related link) 6:26am

Smooth commute in. Got to wear sunglasses for the first time in weeks, because it was sunny enough for them to be useful. 8:56am

Today is my usual Wednesday morning full of conference calls. I'll be able to "come up for air" a little before lunch if all goes well... 8:57am

Did anyone watch the Chinese women's gymnastics? I have a really hard time believing some of the girls were over 16. A few looked 12. 11:47am

Back from a lunch from the salad bar in the cafeteria. [spin] I ate much less than Michael Phelps does. [/spin] (related link) 12:31am

More shameless company self promotion but kinda cool nonetheless if you like "big iron" computing. (related link) 1:52pm

Laughing hysterically at "Calvin and Jobs" (related link) (Steve Jobs, that is...) So. Spot. On. 3:10pm

Back home. Michelle tells me a friend of ours had a tree on their property struck by lightening for the second time last night. Wow! 6:07pm

Watching "A.I." So far not liking the global warming premise the movie starts off with. 7:48pm

Can you imagine the horror of being stuck in the bathroom stall next to Michael Phelps?

Hi Bill,
Now that you mention it, is there really a toilet that can handle disposing of high waste volumes like that?
P.S. Sorry about how the scripts stripped your funny [GuyTalk] psuedo-HTML tags. It's a security, comment spam thing. My comments are pretty much just plain text, although it will auto-create a link if you paste a URL.
