Short Updates

I remember after my girls saw all 3 seasons of "Wonder Woman" I thought I'd follow up with Netflix DVD's of "Bionic Woman". Unfortunately it was never released on US region DVDs due to legal entanglements. Meanwhile this week someone rip'd them from the European released DVDs and put them on the internet. Hmmm... 6:55am

Back home from a meeting where we prepare for the twins' First Confession. It's only a few weeks away now. 11:35am

After the twins' First Confession prep mtg, I took the family for lunch. When I got home I caught up on River Grove life with my grandma. Decided to lay down for a bit and then bam! it's 4:30pm. Wow! What happened? 4:31pm

BrainQuest is helping us keep our sanity against New England cabin fever this cold afternoon. As we sit around the fire, the boys are enjoying their workbooks while Abby is playing BrainQuestDS on her Nintendo. Her questions to me seem far, far above 4th grade level. (related link) 6:26pm

Just picked up Claire from a day with her friends. Towards the end they made some artisan cupcakes of which we shall now partake! yum. 8:12pm

Comment: Enjoyed reading this while relaxing by the fire tonight. A hat tip to Jeff Miller and Lavona Rann for pointing me at this.
Excerpt: Overpopulation is a meaningless concept. It is the fear that every new baby is a new mouth to feed. But every new baby is also a new pair of hands to work, once the baby grows. The question is whether the baby will produce more than he consumes over his lifetime. The fear of Malthus and Ehrlich is t...

Michelle and Timothy
Comment: When I talk about having used a ton of wood so far this season, just picture the pallet on the right gone now... I found this old picture from last May as I was reviewing photos with Abby. Yes, we buy in May. Wood is cheap then. ;-)
Excerpt: Atop 3 tons of wood pellets
