Back to the ol' commute
Looks like the last of the storm finally pushed out of here before midnight. Wonder if there's much residue left to clean up?
Good morning! What a difference a day makes. I went out at sunrise to get the overnight snow residue off the driveway. Then I head to my barber before heading down to Boxborough. The back roads were reasonable and the main roads were just wet but clear. I started a new audiobook today. It's only about 8 hours long so it should be a quick listen.
Swung by the Milford Verizon store to buy a new iPhone 4. Just kidding. We've been happy Sprint customers for the past several years, having graduated from their Nextel subsidiary. I really like their pricing on family plans with unlimited text, data without having a per-user cost increment. So me, Michelle, and even Claire have generous 3G data. If I were to get an iPhone though, today would be a good day as ATT doesn't cover my area with 3G service while Verizon and Sprint have for several years.
Got out of the office a bit later than needed if I hoped to get to the gym. Just as well as I was feeling on the tired side from the snow removal of the past couple of days. Had some dinner leftovers and decided to do the upgrade of our 1st floor TiVo to 802.11g. Our bedroom TiVo already is but the older 802.11b on the 1st floor TiVo was really throttling the speeds of downloading video from the Internet and room-to-room video transfer. Claire was hoping we could transfer the recent episode of "Chuck" from the bedroom TiVo to the main TiVo.
Since we were just going to toss the old Linksys 802.11b USB/WiFi adaptor, I decided to crack it open and show Timothy what's inside and explain a few of "the guts" inside. I was pretty impressed with how fast “Chuck” now transferred from one TiVo to another in the house.

Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. I've got Michelle 'n the girls setup watching Chuck vs the Gobbler. I'm just going to watch a bit of Doctor Zhivago as I fall asleep. Good night all!
