The Annunciation

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Poor Michelle is home with the kids today, but at least the boys are doing better. I didn't have any school drop offs so went straight to the office. Listened to Buzz Out Loud #1433 most of the drive in with a little phone catch up with my dad near the end. Now nibbling on a "office bagel day" bagel while I triage all the email I missed yesterday and my computers sync and build the latest code base. 9:06am

Only now looked at the date to realize it's the Solemnity of the Annunciation. Or as kids see it: 9 months 'til Christmas. ;-] 9:14am

What God did NOT call you to 9:30am

Went with three AMD'ers out for some lunch at New London Pizza. Blandest tuna sub I've had in a while. I should have gone for some cheese pizza. It's always interesting to hear rants about AMD vs. my rants about things at Qualcomm. It's engineering chaos everywhere. Different types, but crazy everywhere. 1:15pm

Trying to remember when in my military background we ever trained for "kinetic military action". I'll have to check with my dad too... 1:58pm

As seems to be a habit, I couldn't leave the office on Friday until ~6:30pm. Called River Grove on the way home and found that my mom was released from the hospital. Praying for a quick recovery for her. 7:30pm
