Shammograms

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning all! Weather continues to improve today but there's talk of significant snow in the next 1-2 days. Heavy wet stuff that should melt soon thereafter. Do we even bother to clear the driveway? My only concern is that it hits its peak around the time I need to take Michelle for her scheduled port removal surgery. 6:27am

Got the girls dropped off at their schools and will be working from home today. 8:19am

Video: Planned Parenthood: But but but... we also provide mammograms. Or not, if pressed to prove it, as this video demonstrates over and over again. 9:28am

I like the new mashup terms for the alleged Planned Parenthood mammogram services: shammograms. I'm also seeing mammoshams. (related link) 10:01am

Students Who Get It! by John Stossel.
Excerpt:“The market is signaling that certain changes are needed, but stimulus spending interferes with those signals. If businesses are not allowed to fail, we don't get the market feedback we need. David Boaz added: 'If you get drunk, you have a hangover. I'm sure some of you have tried the theory: just keep drinking. But you can't keep drinking forever.' ”
I like the analogy between spending and being drunk because Congress has been spending like drunks. ;-] The hangover has already happened and our government is trying to drink its way out of the problem. 10:24am

Link to brand new YouTube trailer of season 6The new Dr. Who Season 6 trailer was just released. All the more reason to be excited for Easter to get here. To which Craig Cottingham wrote back, "Well, yeah, that and the whole "resurrection of the savior" thing. :-)" Yup, of course, that's way more significant. 11:18am

Went with my sweetheart out for some lunch downtown at Cafe on the Oval and stopped for a couple of chocolate raspberry coffees from DFE on the way back. Now time to submit the test I wrote this morning and start on another set... 1:20pm

How Contraception Destroys Love
Excerpt: “In his book Love and Responsibility, Karl Wojtyla – now known as John Paul II – reflects not simply on why contraception is immoral, but even more, on how contraception actually can destroy the love between a husband and wife in marriage. Here, we will consider four points from his reflections on this topic.” 1:27pm

Been a busy afternoon and evening. I wrote some more GPU tests and had a 4pm conference call with HQ. I took the 5:30 Step and abs class at Golds. Once showered up I head over to St. Patricks for tonight's RCIA session. As I arrived back home, Abby and Michelle were teamed up in a session of Wii Party. Time for me to grab a small bit of dinner before bed... 8:08pm
