Piano Recital

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools. They are excited that they finish up in a week. I had a smooth trip into Boxborough listening to This Week in Google #99 along the way. Now enjoying my Bagel Day bagel and juice while triaging the overnight emails... 8:54am

People belittle "Web Apps" as not being as intuitive and useful as dedicated standalone apps. I have to say though that using the Microsoft Outlook Web App often seems easier than using Outlook. Pop up menus, drag and drop, it's all there in a nice AJAX'y interface. I used my tower and Chrome with the Outlook web app to go through my email while my laptop was busy doing a fresh compile and test of the latest code drop. The cooling fans on my laptop are really cranking at the moment. I think the laptop might levitate soon. 9:22am

Went with a friend from AMD's ATI division to Danielas Mexican for lunch. 1:22pm

Oracle seeks billions from Google in Java suit. This is one of the few things that bothers me about Java, or more accurately about Oracle. 1:36pm

Michelle is going to see her surgeon today to decide whether to attempt to remove the tumor before irradiating it. Main risk: Lymphedema. 1:39pm

At the piano recitals for Timothy and Claire. See snapshots below. 6:51pm

While Michelle took the rest of the kids home afterward, I took Claire and Timothy to Haywards Ice Cream for a strawberry banana shake to congratulate them on their recital performances. 8:15pm

Netflix link Watching another episode of the sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" with Michelle as we go to bed. Did I mention that it's available via Netflix streaming? Good night all! 9:15pm
