Michael starts ‘Reading Club’

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Today starts a week of Claire and Abby babysitting for the neighbors' kids. Also Claire is supposed to submit her application for a part time job at Trombley Farms. Michael starts his Reading Club this morning. Just don't call it summer school !! Daniel and Timothy are with Michelle as she teaches her Step class this morning in Merrimack. I had a smooth drive into Boxborough listening to podcasts. I do so prefer the commutes during the summer break. The heatwave from the Midwest is creeping this way, as today it's supposed to hit ~90°F. 8:43am

Diesel cars gain traction slowly in US market, “Diesels have been available in the US for decades, but the market pales compared to Europe where they make up around half the auto fleet.” 8:52am

Removing Microsoft VisualStudio 2005 from my laptop. VS 2010 is out and currently I use VS 2008. 2005 is sitting on my drive just wasting space and Qualcomm gets a license credit if I uninstall it... 9:00am

I cannot believe how long it takes to remove a Visual Studio installation! It's been about an hour and it's almost wrapping up. It took me less time to wipe Michelle's netbook hard drive and put a whole new operating system on it. 9:33am

Their home page Grabbing a sub for lunch at T.C. Landos in Acton. They make huge, delicious subs there, but usually I'm too lazy to drive up to the next highway exit to get one. 1:18pm

Left work a bit early listening to more of Flatland on the drive north. Written in 1884 it's such a nerdy commentary on Victorian culture. (Wikipedia description) Went straight to Golds Gym for tonight's Step Circuit class. Even at 7 o'clock it's still ~90°F outside and it's been more humid than this weekend. 7:13pm

The kids had a good day. Since the girls were baby sitting the twins next door, our boys went over there for a while to play and swim at their house. Then later those twins came over here to play for a while. Anything that keeps them from being bored… 7:15pm

Humor Video: End Swamp Ass, a PSA starring Nathan Fillion. 7:18pm

Video: Green production technology at the new VW Chattanooga plant. 7:39pm

Between work, the drive, and the workout, I'm pretty wiped out. I just got Timothy tucked in bed with his prayers and am following his example. Good night all! 8:13pm
