Late Night Conference Call

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Got the girls dropped off at their schools and then later dropped the boys off at theirs because Michelle had a meeting with Michael's teacher. I'm working from home today. I'm hoping at lunchtime I can stop over at Comcast and move forward on this digital cable transition. 9:54am

Michelle and Scott Just felt like sharing a favorite pic from summer 2010 when I buzzed my hair to keep it shorter than Michelle's. (click thumbnail at right to enlarge) 10:49am

Went with Michelle for lunch at Cafe on the Oval and swung over to Comcast to join the 21st century. Picked up two multi-stream CableCARDs for the TiVos and a vanilla decoder box for the basement. 2:14pm

Lookin' forward to getting EWTN & Fox Business when we switch over to digital cable service in a few of days. (and the hi-def clarity of course!) Our local Comcast service did not offer those channels for us plain old analog cable subscribers. 3:03pm

Work related news: Tegra 3 missed performance goals by wide margins. Excerpt: “Numbers seen by SemiAccurate show a dual core Qualcomm Krait SoC absolutely destroying a [Nvidia] 1.5GHz Tegra 3, these are real tested silicon, not estimates. Not that Nvidia can make a 1.5GHz Tegra 3, but that is nitpicking. T33, aka Tegra 3.3 was meant to close the gap with Qualcomm by raising clocks from 1.5GHz to 1.7 or 1.8GHz, but it looks like a lost cause now.” 4:39pm

Stopped work around 5:15 and head over to Golds for tonight's Step 'n Abs class. Michelle took the girls over to Youth Group. Time for a little dinner. Later tonight I have a conference call and then have to see about picking the girls back up. 7:07pm

Joined a conference call at 8:30pm. It ran beyond 9 so Michelle had to pick up the girls and get the boys to bed with their prayers. I feel like I've slacked in my papa duties. Nothin' like having a short notice conference call like that late in the evening! It's been a long day. Good night all! 9:30pm
