New Semester

Posted by Scott at 10:05 PM

Not terribly much to write about yesterday. I took the family for breakfast at DFE. Claire worked 9 to 3:30. Tim and I max'ed out his old laptop's RAM. I fixed a kitchen cabinet. After dinner I dropped Claire off at Confirmation class and took the family candlepin bowling. I also read 6 chapters of the HP-28S User Guide to refresh my memory. 6:05am

Today I'll do the usual drop-off of the girls and head down to Boxborough. Claire will start her second semester today. Michelle will teach her Step class at Merrimack. I was hoping to get to the new fitness classes at Golds Gym tonight but have a 5 o'clock conference call. 6:09am

Got the girls dropped off, on time for a change. There was some snow the first half of the commute but it cleared up. I listened to more of "Reamde" on the drive. I'm down to the last few hours of it. At this point the reader/listener is so eager to see a bullet go through the evil mastermind. 9:01am

DNSCrypt by OpenDNS prevents man-in-the-middle WiFi attacks, tampering and snooping. Currently on MacOS, coming to Windows soon. 9:22am

How does the Birth Control Pill work? 10:43am

Yep, this is just like those crazy pro-life marchers and Tea Party protesters: Oakland couple Susan Poff, Robert Kamin mourned. Summary: "Occupy" protester murders parents after they complain about him spending too much time at Occupy Oakland. Imagine if it had been a tea party activist or a pro-life zealot. Established media would lead with it. 12:19am

It's getting difficult to trust women named Anita, especially with diocesan funds! (1st story), (2nd story) 2:43pm

A little frustrated. I cancelled my plans to catch some new classes at Golds tonight because of a 5 o'clock call. I waited and at 5:15 the call was cancelled. Well, time to head north I guess. 5:20pm

Got home around 7 o'clock. I caught up with my dad on the first part of the drive and listened to more of "Reamde" on the rest of the commute. Michelle re-heated me a dinner and quizzed me from Claire's history quiz as I ate. I watched the new episode of Once Upon a Time afterwards. 9:56pm

Claire called and I picked her up from Subway. Claire debriefed us on today's adventures in sub making. Looks like we may get a little snow tomorrow morning. Hopefully the commute will be okay. Good night all. 9:58pm
