Good Friday

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Mornin' all! Hoping to make it a Good Friday. Getting some positive news from oncology would certainly help. 6:28am

I dropped the girls off at their schools. I'll be working from home again today. 7:58am

Payoff for Efficient Cars Takes Years. Excerpt: “Except for two hybrids, the Prius and Lincoln MKZ, and the diesel-powered Volkswagen Jetta TDI, the added cost of the fuel-efficient technologies is so high that it would take the average driver many years — in some cases more than a decade — to save money…” And of course if you put a lot of miles on your cars, the payoff comes faster too. 8:13am

I mentioned a few days ago that I was still holding off on signing up with Instagram. So to read later: Don’t Bother with Instagram, Here are Five Better Alternatives for Android 8:22am

Went with Michelle downtown to Cafe on the Oval for our Good Friday meal. Sunny outside, but still chilly today, ~45°F. 12:47pm

Wrapped up work around 5 o'clock. Planning on heading to tonight's Good Friday services at 7pm. 5:15pm

Michelle did get a voice message from oncology. As I was driving to St. Patricks, Michelle called back. The PET scan looked mostly okay. Monday they will schedule a followup CT scan because there was a small ambiguity in the scan, likely nothing, but they want to check. At first I let it go, but eventually left the service after the homily as my mind became too preoccupied. It's pathetic how quickly your mind can project the worst. 8:00pm

Claire called to pick her up from Subway. I'm going to watch Joseph of Nazareth on Netflix to get my mind off things so that I can sleep. Good night all! 10:00pm
