Mucositis

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! It's a Seattle-like one here in the Souhegan Valley. Drizzly, overcast and ~55°F. I dropped the girls off at their schools and head down to Boxborough. I offered up the Joyful Mysteries on the first part of my commute for the wellness of Michelle and then caught up with my dad the rest of the drive. 9:13am

Michelle dropped the boys off at their school and is about to teach her Monday morning Step and Abs class at the Merrimack YMCA. I'm hoping Claire and Abby will join me tonight after work/school for a couple of classes at Golds Gym. 9:14am

Nunc Coepi Among the prayers and devotions I've been saying lately has been this Prayer to the Holy Spirit. But it always had the Latin phrase “Nunc Coepi” which I decided today to look up. I found a good explanation here. 9:17am

Another explanation of “Nunc Coepi”, straight from the founder of Opus Dei who used to say it often. 10:00am

I was wondering why my laptop seemed like it wanted to go into liftoff. Corporate IT is pushing out its periodic Microsoft updates. Funny how the Windows Task Manager didn't seem to show it. Hopefully after this reboot I can work without a hyperspinning cooling fan. 10:48am

Left work a bit early. Caught up with my dad to make sure he had a smooth drive from Chicago back to Michigan this morning. Then head straight to Golds Gym for tonight's Strength class and Step class. Claire worked out with a friend for the first and then joined me for the Step class. It was her first in a while since she'd been busy with high school track, which wrapped up last weekend. 7:02pm

When I got home I found that Michelle's oral mucositis is getting more pronounced. I insisted that she call her clinical study nurse to let her know and get advice. Hopefully she calls back soon. I did more research on mitigating treatments and setup the humidifier in our bedroom while she ran to the store for ice cream and baking soda. 8:00pm

I got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Because of today's workout, I'm pretty tired too. Good night all! 9:05pm
