Just Keep Swimming

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Timothy and I just finished up our workouts at the Merrimack YMCA. I took the Step class and he worked out at the kids workout area. They're having a book fair so he's checking out their offerings. 10:35am

DoryBack home. The driveway was re-sealed while we were out. Need to stay off of it for a couple of days. Michelle got a followup call from her local oncologist. Her CK levels went from 20,000 on Wednesday to 14,000 on Friday. That's still way high (normal is 60 to 400) but moving in the right direction. No signs of infection but white blood cell is coming back to normal. Her throat is slowly getting better as long as she's cautious about what she consumes. “Just keep swimming…” 11:43am

Michelle took Abby and Daniel to dance class. Claire has a friend over to work together on a school project for history. I'm burning 4 recovery DVDs for Timothy's laptop (and it takes a looong time!). With all of the tinkering with Linux he has planned, I want to make sure we can restore the Windows partition if we make any mistakes. It bugs me a bit that these netbooks often don't ship with restore discs. 1:24pm

We all went to 4 o'clock Mass. It was a scheduled Youth Mass, so they asked Claire and Timothy if they would present the gifts at the Offertory. After Mass Father gave Michelle the Sacrament of Anointing/Healing again since she is coming off of her regimen and going to start a new one. 5:32pm

Girls After Mass we helped Claire's friend get dropped off at work and then head to TGIFridays for dinner. It went amazingly well with no bickering between any siblings. Claire and I shared a 3 course meal, as did Abby and Michelle. The boys had kids meals. Then Claire drove us all home (and we survived). Between Mass and dinner, it was a great evening. 7:15pm

When we got home, Claire asked me if I could give her more lessons on stick shift driving with my car. So we went to the local industrial park (quiet at this hour) and practiced some more. The usual things happened, but I reassured her not to worry. Everybody stalls a car when learning this. 8:30pm

I got the boys all tucked in bed with their prayers. Aside from Claire working at Subway, tomorrow should be a pretty relaxing day. Maybe we'll take the kids swimming? Good night all! 9:05pm

“Amen, amen, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.
Until now you have not asked anything in my name;
ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.”
