New Regimen

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Yesterday's washout rain has finally pushed out. Even though we'll take the kids to Donut Fresh Express (DFE) when they get up, Michelle ate a bowl of oatmeal and then took her first dose of Xeloda, the new chemo regimen she's starting. You don't want to take these on an empty stomach. 7:03am

Back from breakfast at DFE. 10:23am

Had a couple of online to-do's which I bailed on. We were going to cash in Abby's return airline ticket, but it can only be applied to a future flight for her. So we'll hold off until we know her new return date. I was going to renew my license online, but the DMV is less than a mile away and I'd like an updated license photo. Perhaps I'll do it Thursday. 10:43am

Michelle decided to head to the other side of town to pick up some ingredients for her next juice blend. She's thinking some fresh blueberries could be interesting. Who knows what else she'll find at the produce section of Stop N Shop. The girls, always eager for anything that sounds like shopping, went with her. 10:57am

Wait? Photo ID is required to enter the 2012 MA Democrat Convention? (read the details on page 14) But, but, but what about "disenfranchisement" of their base? I always hear that this type of thing will lead to Jim Crow type laws. 12:34pm

It's been overcast a lot today, but temperatures have been mild with a light breeze so we've been enjoying being outside. Music, frisbee, scooters, hula hoops, balls, skating, etc. After pulling weeds with Abby, Michelle asked me about a coffee run. Timothy and I drove over to DFE and got her a frozen coffee. He and I shared a vanilla smoothie. And since Claire was working on her homework, I got her a small hot chai. 2:45pm

Had a good time playing in the front yard with the kids this afternoon. After an early gordita taco dinner I tried to take Claire and Timothy bowling, but we were surprised to find our local alley was closed. 5:42pm

Had a relaxing evening with the kids. Around 7pm Michelle ate a little more so that her stomach wouldn't be empty and took her evening dose of the new medicine. I got to catch up on a bit of reading on my Kindle. Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Good night all. 9:10pm

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28
