Abby's Home

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! It's back to work today. I listened to Security Now #363 on the drive down to Boxborough, nursing a large iced coffee along the way. It's borderline A/C weather out there this morning. 9:08am

Today's plans: house gets power washed and work starts on the porches. Michelle teaches her Merrimack YMCA Step class. Abby flies back to NH via Manchester airport. Claire is going to the beach with her friend Shauna. Me? I'm just workin'... Tests to write and a new candidate to interview. 9:09am

Happy to see Qualcomm made it to #23 on Fortune's Top 100 Companies to work for. We moved up from #33 last year. Was surprised to learn that USAA was up there at #20. 9:41am

Click to enlargeMichelle has picked up Abby from the airport and they're all on their way back home. I'm heading to the cafeteria for some barbecue pulled pork. 12:30pm

Steve Wozniak sees trouble in the cloud. Yet another cautionary tale. I also listened to an episode of Know How where they discussed 'roll your own cloud'. 2:48pm

Left work a smidge early. Listened to the rest of Security Now on the first part of the drive, then Patrick Madrid the rest of the way. I went straight to Golds Gym for tonight's Dynamic Definition class, a Step Circuit class, and a core workout afterwards. I'm sure on Wednesday I'll be feeling those classes. In half an hour I have a conference call with San Diego so I'm snacking on some Lil' Caesars leftovers that the family had earlier. Claire is downstairs with Abby catching up on stories of the past month. 7:28pm

Wrapped up the 8 o'clock call. Michelle tucked Timothy into bed and I took care of the twins. Claire is in the kitchen creating more jewelry. I showed her how to use the kitchen Chumby's 'iheartradio' app to listen to Boston's KISS 108 FM over the internet. She was trying to listen via FM radio and the signal this far north is weak and distorted. Good night all! 9:44pm

from the cloud came a voice,
‘This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.’ ”
