St. Arbucks

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! I got out the door without doing something like pouring orange juice on my cereal, so I'm doing better than yesterday. Listened to Tech News Today 683 on the way down to the office. Still getting the knack of using Waze for navigation, but I'm liking it. I like how well it warns of traffic jams, accidents, and police. It does seem to be learning from the various back road routes I have to get to work to avoid traffic. I saw a Jetta Hybrid on the I-495 highway for the first time today. Brand new. As my friend Rich says, now if only VW will bring out the VW diesel hybrid. My concern is that diesels are a premium, hybrids are a premium, how expensive will a diesel hybrid be? 9:59am

Extra points for quoting the Apostle Paul in your Emacs configuration file: Lines 3-6 10:41am

It's funny that Wikipedia can help me remember which of our GPUs went in which of our chips/phones: (Wikipedia entry) If you scroll down far enough, you'll see that the LG Optimus G is essentially the Google Nexus 4, except unlike the Nexus, the LG does have 4G. 12:16pm

Got caught up with things at work and didn't leave for lunch until 2:45pm. Went to New London Pizza for a sub and then swung over to Starbucks for the first time in a long time to get a large hot drink. After paying $5 for a coffee, I remembered why I don't go there often. My old friend Chris used to joke they should rename their business to FourBucks because you'll never pay less than that for a good drink. I'd love to find a place like A&E Roastery down here near the office in Boxborough. 3:30pm

Michelle, Abby, and the boys are off at CCD. Claire would normally be helping Michelle and Abby teach, but she got a very last minute call to do a quick shift at Subway. 4:05pm

Wrapping up for today and heading up to St. Elizabeth Seton. 5:15pm

Just back from my Opus Dei evening of recollection. Rosary, meditation, Confession, talks, and a bit of fellowship. Feeling re-charged as always. Now to do some more prep for tomorrow night's RCIA. Claire and Abby should be back soon. Claire had gymnastics at 6:30 and Abby had marching band flag spinning practice. 9:13pm

“Brothers and sisters:
Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us
and persevere in running the race that lies before us
while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus”
