Presidents Day

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

President Saxon (aka The Master) Good morning! Happy President's Day! The kids all have school today, but last night Claire came home from work feeling sick. She is staying home today to recover more. Abby opted to go to school with a friend. I drove the twins to school. I have today off for the holiday but am opting to work and take the day a little later in the week when hopefully my dad is here. We're hoping the weather cooperates. Michelle is dropping Timothy off at school and then heading to the Merrimack YMCA to teach her Step class. 8:19am

Michelle returned from her Step class and Claire is starting to come back to life. I took Michelle for lunch downtown at Cafe on the Oval. Then we stopped by DFE to get some hot drinks and also a breakfast sandwich for Claire who seems to be on the mend. It is still cold and especially windy out there today. 1:00pm

What if … only the sticker is made in China? 1:13pm

Claire went to work for a short shift. I'm glad she's well enough to cover a couple of hours. Abby is at band practice. After a day of crazy debugging, I'm going to try a Step class at the Nashua Golds. I've never been to Nashua's Golds Gym. 5:06pm

That was my first visit to the Nashua Golds. The changing room is laid out a bit weird and the lockers are strange. The lockers remind me of Tetris blocks. The fitness studio is nice but is lacking in floor mats. The class was fast paced and well led. I'll probably go again soon. I took advantage of text-to-speech to listen to today's “In Conversation with God” on the drive home. 7:35pm

Said prayers with the kids and got ready for bed. I'm pretty exhausted and will probably be the first one in bed. That class I took earlier is shorter than I'm used to but tries to pick up the intensity to compensate. Good night all! 8:30pm

“And the king will say to them in reply,
‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did
for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ ”
