Two Audio Books

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Aside from wicked high pollen counts, it's going to be a beautiful day here in New England. After the older kids went off to school, Michelle and I went to 7:30am Mass. 8:10am

I stopped by Rio Cafe on the way down to work for a quick coffee. I listened to more of Fulton Sheen's Life of Christ on the way down. I'm glad today's a Friday Bagel Day at the office. 9:15am

Tim is staying home with Michelle today. He's going to visit an audiologist so that the schools can order him a new ear receiver. He's also going to get an x-ray to keep a watch on his spine development now that he's about to hit his tween years of growth. 10:47am

Discovered that The Cost of Discipleship, a classic by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, is available as an audiobook at Audible.com. When I was in high school, one of my favorite religion teachers was a huge fan of Bonhoeffer. Of course, he did his Master's Thesis on Bonhoeffer, so that might have been part of the reason. 11:00am

Went with two friends from my AMD days to have an Italian lunch at Il Forno. Always such good food for a reasonable price. I had veal parm and gnocchi for $12 including a generous tip. When I got back I caught up with Michelle. She'll be blood typed on Monday and have a transfusion on Tuesday to boost her hemoglobin count. 1:02pm

Angels Take Manhatten Also made another discovery on Audible.com today. If you watched the recent Doctor Who:The Angels Take Manhattan, you know that a book, The Angel's Kiss by Melody Malone, is a major part of the plot. Audible has it as an audiobook and it's read by Alex Kingston, aka River Song!

Galaxy S4 sales to top 10 million, making it the fastest selling phone in Samsung history. A large portion (esp. those in the US) of those are powered by our Adreno 320 GPU. 3:21pm

Let's see. Timothy and I ordered a Kobo eReader last Sunday. And finally today I get a confirmation that it shipped. Amazon efficient they're not. 5:07pm

Actually left work at a reasonable time for a Friday night. Caught up on news with my dad on the drive home. Abby went to see a play at the high school. The boys and I watched the season finale of Once Upon a Time. 8:33pm

“Jesus said to him the third time,
‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ ”
