Phew! I hope the election struggle is over. I thought both Bush and Gore had great speeches last night. I saw Gore's and read Bush's the next morning. Gore's was one of the most genuine speeches I've seen him do. I guess that's what happens when you write your own speech for a change. Some folks will probably remain bitter. I think no matter who won, the other side would claim the election was "stolen". I thought that both speeches may go a long way towards moving the country forward, at least for the short term. Let's pray that the next four years are positive ones of growth for the country. We all want that. We just differ in our beliefs of how to get there.
We had about 4 or 5 inches of snow here this morning, followed by sleet and freezing rain. Luckily I got the snow out of the way while it was still powder, just before the transition to "icky" stuff occurred. No major backaches, yet...
In other news, as if my friends from Dayton didn't already spoil us enough this year with this awesome table, chairs, and bears for the girls (sent about a month ago), he sent Michelle and I some awesome sweatshirts as gifts yesterday. Here's mine and here's Michelle's. Very funny. Thanks Stu and Paula!
