Friday night was the company combination Christmas party and baby shower. It all went very well. My fellow employees were very supportive and generous. Claire and Abby had a good time as well because Eric Ryherd and Eric Pauer each brought their young children. Six young kids, two big, white, fluffy dogs, lots of munchies, need I say more?
While the midwest may have been experiencing brutal cold weather, Nashua was hit with a different extreme. It was in the 60s, rainy, and very windy. I'm sure we'll get our fair share soon enough! Overall, though, I was glad to have the ice off the sidewalks and driveways. The rains caused us to stay inside most of Sunday. We lit a fire, read stories, roasted marshmallows (a first for the girls).
I looked into scanners for my PC. I'll probably pick one up after Christmas when the prices are likely to drop further. I have a roll of film in for processing today. If anything particularly good shows up, I'll finagle a scan for this webpage.
I guess I should mention that Abby finally seems unafraid of going "to the potty". It's been about two weeks now, so I think it's safe to say she's over some of the anxiety she was having. Now it seems to go the other way. She wants to go about a dozen times a day! But hey, at least she got out of diapers in time for the next arrivals...
