Back Online

Well, for a few days I was having trouble posting from home. I think there was a subtle bug in the software I was using to connect to LiveJournal from the POS laptop. When I went back to the website that I got it from, the author had a new version. I installed it and things seem back to normal now.

I didn't mention yesterday that we had quite the extremes at church yesterday. Claire had asked Michelle beforehand if there was some way that we could go eat after Mass even though the usual church program of coffee and donuts was suspended for the summer. Usually when we've gone with Grandma and Grandpa, Abby and Claire sit in front with the grandparents and we sit in the cry room with the boys. However yesterday Abby was showing signs of being a pill in the church parking lot. "I don't want to hold your hand." So we took Abby in back with us. She only spiraled downhill from there. Just before Communion I put her out in the van for a ten minute timeout. I watched her from inside the church. After a few minutes I brought her back in and she was much less trouble, but not to the point of taking her out for breakfast. So Michelle, the martyr, took Abby and the boys home and I took Claire and the parents to breakfast.

After some rest Abby was much better. Perhaps she had a tummy ache and didn't know how to express it. Later that afternoon I played with both girls and we had a great time. It takes so little to make them happy at this age, just time: Time spent reading, playing, wrestling, singing silly songs...

The grandparents have to leave tomorrow afternoon. It's always sad for us the day of any visitor's departure. I took a few parting pictures and put them online here. Many include pictures of Peter and Donna with the kids.

Michelle had her annual OB/GYN appointment this afternoon. The doctor complimented her on how the nursing had helped shrink her womb back down to normal size. Quite an accomplishment considering it held two full size babies just four and a half months ago. Tomorrow the boys have a checkup and Wednesday Abby has a checkup.

On the administrative front, I signed the family up for the Blue Cross EPO plan to start next July. I also finally managed to talk to a real person at Foundation Medical Partners to clear up an insurance error. They supplied a neonatologist for the delivery but had wrong insurance information so were not getting paid. I've been trying for the past month to get them the right account data. Hello! You do want to be paid, right?!

It's late and I'd better be going...
