What a gorgeous weekend we've had so far! Dry, sunny, around 80 degrees. I went for a workout this morning, but Michelle decided at the last moment to stay home and work on her step routine for Monday's class. She wants to tinker around with some new combinations for her upcoming class.
I took a nap with the boys after lunch. When we were up we headed out to our parish. Michelle hasn't had as many opportunities to go to Confession as I do during my monthly Opus Dei nights. Confession: one of the most underutilized and misunderstood Sacraments in the Church. Anyway...afterward we all made a run to Quikava for some drinks (Iced Mudslide, Black Raspberry Smoothie, and Iced Chai) hoping the drive would give the boys a chance to catch their last catnap of the day. Quikava is about 20 minutes away, and driving in the van does wonders for their ability to sleep. Later around dinner I picked up a pizza from Papa Johns and we ate out on the back deck. And there weren't even mosquitos! This time of year is awesome! On the downside, did I mention that last week had an explosion of pollen. Cars everywhere were yellow if they hadn't been washed in more then 24 hours.
I read Abby a couple of stories before putting her to bed, including the classic Green Eggs and Ham. I rented Miss Congeniality and Michelle and I got about half way through it. Michelle is understandably tired, so I told her we could watch the rest tomorrow.
I haven't heard from Alyssa today. I'm presuming everything is ok. I'll feel better when I see her (hopefully) tomorrow. I heard that they got a DC-AC power invertor so that they could run their TV/VCR in the van to help keep the kids content.
Better get my rest for now. It's been a long time since the boys woke up after 6 AM...
