I wasn't kidding about them getting up early. Michael woke up shortly after 5 AM. Good morning, boys!
Time for some minor trivia on the boys' progress. They both don't like to take formula. Whenever Michelle tries to feed them formula because she feels "drained", they will not take it. They do however take some solids like rice cereal and simple baby foods. That's probably what was plugging them up earlier this week.
They are too big now to easily take baths in the kitchen sink. Michelle is washing them right now in the bath tub. I'll wash the girls in the tub shortly thereafter. At least they like baths. They seem to need them quite often for two reasons: their hands and their feet. They often have their hands in their mouth. After about a day this makes their hands smell. They also often have their toes clenched. The perspiration that builds in the toes then makes their feet stink. Often on days they don't get baths, they at least need their hands and feet washed.
They both are starting to roll over. This can be good except when they are in their cribs. They really don't like being on their backs when they are trying to sleep. Despite SIDS warnings, they like to sleep on their fronts with their heads turned to the side.
Lastly, they have different muscular strengths. Daniel's is good at standing. Hold his hands and he'll easily go for several minutes at a time. Michael seems to want to situp. When you put him in a car seat or bouncy chair, he contracts his abs and neck muscles to try to situp and see the world around him.
Well, that's all for now. The girls are getting into the bath tub and now it's my turn to wash them. After the boys' morning nap, it's off to Mass.
