Aunt Bev, Aunt Alyssa, and Uncle Tom sent a #22 Trav-ler Wagon along with some padded cushions for the twins birthday. It arrived today in the mail (ok, technically UPS). I'll be assembling it soon. This weekend was full of minor fixes to the house due to the kids. I replaced a doorstop ripped out by the twins. I installed a door retaining spring to avoid storm door damage from the kids opening the door too far (which has already caused some damage). I fixed a piece of decorative trim from the kitchen table that the boys ripped off. The boys knocked over the floor lamp and gouged the nearby sheetrock. Fun weekend!
We've had a lot of small, nuisance snow showers. It's nothing that requires firing up the snowblower. For the past couple of weeks we've had an inch or less of snow about every other day. Luckily Claire is getting better at helping me out with the snow.
Recently Abby has picked up a funny behavior. She knows that if she goes "tummy aches" on the toilet that she'll get help wiping her backside. So now at every toilet break, you hear her grunting to try to push something out, no matter how small.
"Mom, Papa, I did tummy aches..."
"Come on, Abby! I've seen grapes larger than that!"
Last week I tried Burlington Coat Factory and Bob's Stores to find some new winter sweaters. There were no deals worth writing about and there was nothing that appealed to me. My co-worker suggested I try JCPenney. So last weekend we stopped by JCPenney at our local mall. I picked up three nice sweaters, nothing too trendy, for well under sixty bucks. Their selection also seemed broader than that available at Burlington and Bob's. Kudos to JCPenney.
This Friday is the parish volunteer appreciation party. This time Michelle and Abby get to go. Last year it was held at this time but Michelle had just delivered and was still at the hospital. This year the party's theme is Italian.
Tomorrow the boys become a release product: 1.0 . No more beta... Happy Birthday, Michael and Daniel!
