I was out picking up Chinese food for dinner tonight. When I returned Michelle broke the news to me. Nancy called while I was out to let us know that the other buyer removed his contingency clause. Thus, the home in Bedford will go to the first offerer. At least we tried.
On the plus side another nice home in Amherst has popped up and we'll likely take a look at it tomorrow after school. I don't have a direct web link for it yet. Perhaps by tomorrow...
Claire will "lector" (sort of) on Thursday for the Stations of the Cross at Infant Jesus. I'm hoping to break out of work to see/hear the event. When I started lectoring after 8th grade, I never foresaw the day when I might see my own daughter read at Church.
One last bit of good news for my father who will be here a week from today: The Big One (ice cream stand) has re-opened.
I'm giving a talk on Wednesday's RCIA on the Passion of Jesus so I have to go get my thoughts and notes together for that now. The most difficult thing about RCIA is talking at the level the candidates are at. While my talk last week was well done in Fr. Ray's opinion, a few fellow team members thought I may have gone a bit over the candidates' heads. I thought about the only eye-glazing thing I did was make passing reference to the names of the official letters (called encyclicals) published in the 20th century that re-iterated the Church's constant teaching on contraception since the time of Christ. The other 99% of the time was spent explaining the teaching itself.
