Peter Kreeft has a homepage...

Peter Kreeft, who is one of my favorite writers, now has a homepage. Very cool! I'll definitely enjoy reading some of his featured writings over the next few weeks.

Michelle and I in many cases have complementary personalities. If there's something to be done around the house, I'll plan and try to do it the following weekend. At breakfast this morning Michelle told me she'd probably put the shutters back on the house. Even though the shutters have been annoying because they tend to attract wasp nest building (which terrifies Abby) , if we want to sell the house, it would probably look more "typical New England" if we have shutters alongside the front windows. (picture from last year...) Michelle called me this morning at the office around 10AM and said she had already put them back up. I don't think I'd even gotten through my morning office email by then. When she was a college student, she was the same way. If the professor announced a term paper on the second week of the semester, hers was typically done by the third or fourth week where most of us would have ours done the night before it was due.

I've given up on taking Benadryl. I felt like I was taking a placebo. I didn't make me drowsy. I'd take two in the morning before going to work, two when I got home, and one more before going to bed. I should have been a walking zombie. I was as alert as always and the perpetual tickle in the back of my throat wouldn't go away. I've been off Benedryl for a few days and am coughing and clearing my throat as much as when I was on it.Why bother? I'm just hoping that the pollen (Oak pollen?) count goes down soon. Everyone in my department is sniffling, coughing, sneezing.

Catholic blogger Michael Dubruiel had two interesting quotes about recent Church scandals here. Some of my favorite Catholic webloggers have been added to the links at the right but I've taken down the house hunting links. I'm happy to remove them!

We are giving serious consideration to having Claire attend the local Milford elementary school next fall. We've heard very good things about them and the student/teacher ratio is 15:1. I think California would love to be that low. I could drop Claire off in the morning at IJS (where she currently attends) but it would be a long haul for Michelle to pick her up every day from Milford. It would certainly give Abby plenty of time for her usual nap in the van. (grin) I'm not sure what we'll do at this point but we're looking at options.

If you want to read about Claire's current classroom (and see a picture of her there...) check out the Grade 1A virtual classroom. I stumbled across it by accident today.

BTW, fans of The Matrix will appreciate this. The upcoming movie The Matrix Reloaded has a new teaser trailer available online.
