You can go to a cool site that's kind of like the Terra Server where you can get US photo maps based on address. I annotated a shot of where we are relative to the towns and main roads. (Warning: it's high resolution and 174Kbytes). If you pan around this picture you can see that it was taken before our housing development was finished. It looks like they had just cleared the land. You can see that we're near the west side intersection of Route 101A and Highway 101. It's very convenient for us to be near both of those roads.
P.S. I tried it out for my folks' River Grove address and it did a great job. It even overlayed the street names of major Chicago area streets. It's a little creepy. I saw my parents' house, their garage, their yard, their driveway!
