As always it was nice to have some time at the Opus Dei evening of recollection. One of the main topics was persevering and being always ready to start again and again on the road to sanctity. The priest told an interesting story about Al Capone's lawyer and the guy O'Hare airport was named after. I'd recommend it if you have the time.
Update: Yes, it happens to the best of us. This story was heavily embellished and romanticized. I had done a bit of internet scanning last night when I posted it to try to corroborate the facts, but the excellent Urban Legends site, snopes.com debunked the O'Hare story. Mea Culpa! I'm used to filtering this kind of thing out when it comes in Fwd: Fwd: Fwd:'d by email. I should watch out for this when it's word of mouth.
