After the kids went to bed last night, I was on our Mac preparing some new pictures in Photoshop Elements. I got the pictures adjusted (red eye correction, labels on the twins, and such) and wrote a CD to drop off at Photographix this morning for getting hardcopy prints. So the good news is I have a bunch of new pictures nearly available. Then I noticed that some of my home grown software that I use to make web photo albums was getting out of date with respect to the computer's recent operating system update. I don't know exactly what possessed me last night, but I decided (wrongly) that it would probably be easier to remove the old software and just install the latest. Note to self: never type a remove command with administrator privileges after 10PM...
In summary our Mac's hard disk/software configuration is toast. I (once again) need to reformat the hard drive and re-install the software. I'm grateful that I at least burned the CD before I did so. Once everything gets back up and online I can still make a web photo album. It'll probably just take a week or so before I get to it.
Tonight is open house at Claire's school. Due to the parking logistics, I'll probably just drop Michelle off and pick her up when she's had enough. There will be no going to swing dance class tonight.
